I am Felice Barbarino, the founder and owner of SAPORE DI MARE MARZAMEMI. In 2017, driven by a deep passion and dedication to the sea and the local area, I established this business. Since childhood, my dream has always been to explore the sea and the most beautiful places, locations that have shaped my life. My lifelong passion has been fishing, the sea, and exploring the most stunning coastlines of the Sicilian territory, from the Ionian Sea to the Mediterranean, discovering natural wonders and captivating destinations such as the Island of the Currents, Capo Passero, Marzamemi, and Vendicari. Today, my desire is to let my clients relive the same sensations I experienced as a boy, in total relaxation and with a touch of fun. Beyond the beauty of the territory and the sea, our excursions also offer a taste experience with authentic Sicilian cuisine based on fresh fish, presented in the aperitifs and lunches prepared directly on board.
In all of this, my clients will be accompanied by a friend who will make you feel like family and treat you as a member of the same. Some members of my staff are part of my own family, and the bond with my other close collaborators is equally strong.
The name ‘Sapore di Mare’ (Taste of the Sea) arises from a deep connection between a passion for the sea and love for Sicilian cuisine. We consider ourselves fortunate to have been born in a wonderful land, rich in colors, flavors, and camaraderie, a land where traces of past colonizations blend with the beauty of untouched nature. It’s a land whose stunning sea, the transparency of its waters, and its magnificent seabed are a true rarity.
